Job Description IT Infrastructure Engineer Our Client is a Global organisation with offices in the City of London. They are now looking to recruit an IT infrastructure system support and maintenance Engineer with at least 5 years experience in 1 st to 3 rd level experience in support. You will be working with users using Japanese and English, working closely with related parties to ensure a coordinated approach to IT infrastructure support and projects. IT Infrastructure Engineer • IT Infrastructure related project • Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the project in HQ (in Japanese) • Communicate and coordinate with the user in each office (in English) • Provide support for to end users during system deployment/migration(User manual, user training) • Global User Support • Act as 2 nd /3 rd line support for IT infrastructure related enquiries and incidents. • Escalate the incidents to the appropriate vendors. • Incident management with the ticketing system (etc. ServiceNow). Skills / Knowledge: Technical • Proven working experience in IT Service management operations • Basic network knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP, proxy, firewall, switching, routing and WiFi) • Basic operation system knowledge (e.g. Windows10, Windows server, Azure) • Basic Microsoft Office 365 knowledge • Second line level technical support and problem-solving skill • Candidate needs to have strong interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Adoptability to work in a fast-changing environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficient in English & Japanese language skills (Reading/Writing/Speaking). • User facing support skills • Self-motivated and an innovative mindset Experience: • 3 to 5+ years IT experience in a corporate environment. • Second line technical support • System Maintenance • Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Virtual desktop, Microsoft365 • Cisco/Fortinet • Project management experience preferred. Job Description Network Infrastructure Support Engineer The role of the IT Infrastructure Engineer is to manage day to day activities to develop, deliver and support the infrastructure and upgrades needed to deliver this programme. You will be part of the 10 people UK ICT team but be assigned to the programme on a full-time basis. Provide technical and project management support Define, manage, track and proactively deliver technical solutions to achieve project goals Implement technical changes and solutions into the Companys environments Ensure all solutions are in line with Company policies and standards Act as interface between the project and BAU support team Fully document all solutions and activities You will be report to the Head of Global Infrastructure and the European IT Director Excellent communication skills, including including written and verbal You will have an understanding of ITIL, Prince 2 practices. Must have a MCP certification along with at least 5 years experience of desktop and application rollouts Ability to think creatively and problem solve and ability to work under pressure Must be able to document solutions and support users through system changes Should have effective time management and organisational skills Ability to learn knowledge of new systems quickly and apply them in the work environment Previous experience of supporting a school environment - desirable Should have the following technical skills: Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 administration Windows 10 operating system Azure Portal Microsoft Intune uniFLOW management software Meraki Access Points Knowledge of SIMS.net - desirable Knowledge of education applications - desirable The position will be based in Milton Keynes with travel to various locations in the UK.
