As a Senior Software Engineer you will play a key role in their commercial success, driving the development of their core platform. This position is integral to supporting the clients ambitions and customer needs, ensuring their tool remains the top choice for carbon footprinting, both in the UK and globally. What you'll do: • Design, develop, and maintain back-end applications using C# .Net Core (for Azure). • Develop and deploy Azure API services. • Maintain our Azure cloud platform. • Provide technical support to customer-facing teams. • Offer technical support to customers using public APIs. • Collaborate with the Head of Technical & Delivery, the wider team, and sometimes customers to create robust, scalable, and secure applications. What you'll need: • Proven experience in developing cloud-based applications using SQL, .Net, and C# (bonus if you know React). • Familiarity with cloud-based SQL databases (preferably with hands-on experience). • Expertise in Microsoft environments and development tools. • Demonstrated ability to implement RESTful APIs and web services in a cloud environment. • Practical experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including troubleshooting. • Experience working within Agile (SCRUM) teams. • Proficiency in control systems, like Git and Jira. • Experience creating or supporting customer-facing documentation.
