Olympic Gymnasium Services carry out safety inspections, maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and installation of sports, PE and playground equipment for schools and colleges and for PT equipment at MoD bases. We carry out a wide range of services at different locations so every day is different. We are a small team and are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a "can-do" attitude who is good at problem-solving and repairing items, who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety and challenge. About the role: As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be on the front line of our operations, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining sports/PE/playground/assault course equipment to the highest safety standards, working at schools, colleges and military bases. Most of our work is around London and Home Counties and some near our service base in Manchester. You need to be flexible as some days are longer and some shorter with travel. Key Responsibilities: Travel to customer sites to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment Complete inspection reports on tablet, source parts and provide quotes Work with colleagues to obtain parts and equipment to complete projects efficiently Liaise with customers to deliver optimal solutions Ensure equipment meets standards and Health and Safety regulations Ensure vehicle stocks and tools are maintained You will be required to stay away on occasional weekdays to minimise travel eg when working around Manchester, and work very occasional weekends during busy periods in school holidays and half terms. The Ideal Candidate: You will have: Practical experience in maintenance, fitting, or installation roles Experience with equipment inspections and reporting Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Proficiency in using hand tools and the ability to work at heights Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail Able to work alone or as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify repair options rather than replacement where possible A "can do" attitude A clean, valid driving license and DBS check PASMA certification is advantageous but not required Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship You must be authorised to work in the UK.
