Seeking an Experienced Civils Site Manager for a High Voltage Cable Route Project in Sunderland Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced civil site manager to oversee the onshore cabling works of their high voltage cable route project in Sunderland. As the ideal candidate, you should possess relevant SMSTS qualifications and have experience with surveying, trenching works, tool box talks as well as installing cables. Qualifications: - SMSTS qualified - Knowledgeable about onshore cabling projects Skills: As our new civil site manager working at this exciting project location; your responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Managing the subcontractor carrying survey works and then moving into heavy civils and cable install. Trenching Works Your ability to manage excavation teams while ensuring they follow safe digging protocols during installation activities such as laying pipes or placing conduits below surface level is critical. You'll also need excellent knowledge about how soil composition affects trench stability when creating trenches & pits around existing infrastructure assets like roadsides without causing damage. Cable Installations We're looking for someone who knows how best practices related specifically towards power transmission lines installations are carried out safely under strict regulatory guidelines - especially those relating directly towards HV electrical systems. Additional Requirements: Tool Box Talks The successful applicant needs exceptional communication skills required so he/she can train team members onsite regarding safety procedures through regular toolbox meetings aimed at improving awareness amongst workers dealing closely within live environments where there's risk involved due proximity near hazards associated these types sites.
