What is a Digital Capability Manager? As our Senior Capability Manager you will act as the link between our directorates and our professions. That means you will help connect the teams our people work on, to deliver big projects and change, and the communities of practice our people are part of, for example as a software engineer or UX professional. You'll manage a small team working, measuring and improving capacity and standards across DWP Digital. Using your excellent communication and influencing skills, you'll identify and partner with a multidisciplinary stakeholder network. When they need advice, guidance and influence to implement a capability development program, you'll be there. You will create regular reporting packs to communicate project progress to stakeholders, and mitigate identified risks. You'll need to have experience in managing large data sets, to highlight issues, trends and to showcase opportunities. You'll be experienced in bringing people on board and on the journey - managing end-to-end projects, especially related to organisational change. The project topics you will work on may include organisational restructures; defining and developing people focused strategies; staff engagement survey action planning; helping to monitor change adoption, reporting on change effectiveness, conducting lessons learned relating to change effectiveness. You will also have chance to develop professional networks across DWP and with other Government Departments to ensure that you are at the forefront of delivery excellence for building organisational capability which meets our current and future needs. Essential Criteria You'll need to demonstrate the following, with examples, in your application: Leading the development, management, governance and delivery of Objectives and Key Results to facilitate a step change across Digital and drive improvement in Capacity, Capability, Community and Standards. Implementing and monitoring strategic capability build at an organisational level, you will ideally have previous experience in capability build, preferably within a Digital/IT environment. Leading projects, including risk/impact management; enabling both change internal to the Digital Capability team and also external i.e. pan-Digital that impacts stakeholders across multiple Practices and Directorates and ensure that future strategies align with wider strategic priorities. Communicate with others in a clear, honest and enthusiastic way in order to build trust and influence outcomes. Explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand. What you'll need: • Knowledge of information security risk management (e.g. ISO27001). • IT/IS security qualifications such as CISSP. • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). • Experience with ISO27001, ISO27002, and GDPR. • Understanding of security controls and their effectiveness. • Familiarity with assurance frameworks. • Experience in delivering information security certification and maintaining compliance. • Experience in creating and reviewing IS security policies. • High-level understanding of operational technology systems and their risks. • Ability to obtain UK security clearance and have been a UK resident for 5 years or more.
