Data Governance Manager
Job Title: Data Governance Manager Location: Guildford, Preston, Frimley. Salary: Circa 40,000 commensurate with skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Implementing, monitoring and enhancing the data governance framework within the business, including definition and refinement of processes, controls, and reports Identifying opportunities to improve quality of data across the data lifecycle Working with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure there is a clear RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed) matrix in the organisation, and that data standards are defined and applied Facilitating Data Owners/Stewards working groups Supporting Data Governance Activities such as Data Maturity Assessment, Master Data Management and Data Cataloguing Reviewing data standards and assessing the effectivity of the application of these to business data Advocating for better use and management of data and encouraging better data fluency within the organisation Making recommendations to address complex problems and to inform strategic and operational decision making Supporting business stakeholders in addressing data governance approaches in pursuit of their objectives Your skills and experiences: Essential: Proven data governance or data management background, and experience of working in the data domain Has sound generic, domain and specialist knowledge necessary to perform effectively in the organisation typically gained from recognised bodies of knowledge and organisational information. Has an appreciation of the wider business context Demonstrates effective application and the ability to impart knowledge found in industry bodies of knowledge. Data Governance Manager
Job Description Data Governance Manager Company Description Our Client is an international bank with offices in Central London. They are now looking to recruit a Data Governance Manager with at least 5 to 10 years proven expertise ideally from a banking environment. Role Description This is a full-time role for a Data Governance Manager. The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of data governance initiatives and developing policies and procedures to support data quality and master data management. The Data Governance Manager will also collaborate with the business intelligence team to ensure that data management and analytics requirements are met. This is an on-site role located in London. Qualifications • Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management skills • Experience with data management and developing policies and procedures • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or related field is required • Professional certification (e.g. CDQM) in data management or related field is desired This is an exciting new position for this bank. This a hybrid position with at least 3 days in the office in Central London. The salary for this role will be circa £75K - £90K.
