Job title: Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This is a full-time onsite role Salary: £35,802 - £42,000 What you'll be doing: Carry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment Liaise / Interface with relevant stakeholders i.e. Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD and Build Operations to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge and competency Responsible for researching, authoring and reviewing of design and test documentation to the required standard Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure and legislation To represent the company of Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractor Sea Trials and other outworking requirements (with scope for overseas travel) Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation Your skills and experiences: Experience in the review and authoring of technical documents Understanding of Mechanical Flushing and Pressure & Endurance Testing and setting to work of systems Knowledge of Mechanical System Operation, including cooling water systems, steam systems, hydraulic, pressurised air and gas, domestic and chilled water and tank testing and propulsion systems Experience with commissioning, operation and maintenance of complex systems and plants Knowledge of test equipment and activities for specific tests Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
