About The Role Team - Member Servicing and Claims - IT Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in any of the Vitality Offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours. We are happy to discuss flexible working! The Senior Test Engineer creates and executes complex tests and initiates test projects based on the agreed test automation frameworks. They work closely with stakeholders/product owners and a wide variety of internal and external technical teams. They are a practitioner in test automation and are working towards being competent in a second specialism. This role also involves actively mentoring and coaching associate and other test engineers. What this role is all about: Key Actions Implement the software test life cycle: The process used to test software and ensure that quality standards are met. It includes test analysis and design, test estimation, test planning and approach, test execution, defect management, and reporting. Recognised as an expert in a core subset of the testing practices employed by the teams and provide technical management and guidance. Seek to minimise the creation of technical debt in the resolution of complex problems, for example; assurance of automation standards and KPIs being achieved. Adhere to testing standards: adhering to the Group test strategy that defines the required testing standards and practices. Recognised as the subject matter expert on adherence to standards and champions a modern test engineering standard approach at Vitality.
