Job Description Abinitio Software Developer - Manchester Our Client is urgently looking to recruit an Abinitio Developer with at least 2 to 5 years experience of working with Abinitio. You must have the ability to write a low-level design from a high-level design. Code to the low-level design, Unit test and bug fix their code. Implement new and changed applications in development, test, pre-production and production environments. Ensure proper implementation in production environments coupled with functionality of technical application interfaces. Gather requirements that are derived out of those specifications and work closely with business and technical unit to ensure a common understanding of requirements Support to AbInitio (MDHub, DQE & ETL) and database environments. Create the Low Level Design specifications and Implement these in AbInitio and db environments. Work closely with product vendors in case defects in the products are detected and ensure appropriate level of Unit Test and System Test of all the deliverables. Handle high complex environments and defect fixes for System Test, Operational Acceptance Test and Production. Post implementation support for all pre-production and production deliverables. Provide Root Cause Analysis for defects to minimize defects in future. Salary will be in the range £50K - £70K This is a permanent position based close to Manchester. Job Description About the Job CI Engineer with Java- DevOps Team Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and experience. 4+ years engineering experience with large-scale applications. Ability to apply complex principles, theories and concepts of the technical discipline and provide solutions to a wide range of complex tasks, - projects and problems Advanced knowledge and proficiency with source control systems, preferably git Experience using and configuring continuous integration tools (Hudson, Jenkins, etc.) Proficient with Java based build systems and related tools (Maven, Nexus, etc.) Expertise developing in Java language Expert with scripting languages (python, perl, groovy etc.) Strong desire to automate build, test, deployment, and related activities Ability to participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 service requirement. Able to collaborate and work effectively across multiple teams with varying skillsets. The position will be based near Manchester. This is a 3 month contract to start immediately.
