DigitalPoint model

I know I am resurrecting a thread here but..

Check out the DigitalPoint model - it has a ladder system according to posts and rewards most active contributors with sig link benefits etc. It could definitely increase the activity on the site. Most freelancers appreciate the benefit of linking back to their site to highlight their services to others 🙂

Guideline

There are a lot of guides online, but my view would be to start at £20 - £25/hr (roughly double your permanent wage). Then, when you are so busy you can't take on any more work, raise your rates! Somewhere in the £20 - £30 bracket would be right for someone with your experience I would say.

Second personal account

I have considered opening a second current account (with another bank) to keep my freelance accounting separate, as business accounts often attract much higher fees. Is this legal/acceptable? I don't know. I am a sole trader, any further info appreciated.
