I don't agree at all but perhaps that's because of my background. As an IT consultant and software developer, I've worked with lots of Indians and they do great work. Many of the tech blogs I read are written by Indians/Pakistanis. The only turn off I can think of is bad English skills but you're English seems quite good and I'm sure your website/marketing will reflect that.

I suppose you have to look at your target demographic and what their perceptions might be but I think it's a good name.
