SSKMEDIAZONE, post: 9223 a écrit : Any help and recommendations for reliable printers is highly aprechiated
I doubt trading standards will be able to help you, although they have a UK number they are based in Germany.

I highly recommend Stationery Direct, they offer fantastic prices, good customer service and quality products. They offer FREE UK wide delivery and are UK based.

They also offer a Print Reseller Scheme which offers trade prices to designers, definitely worth a look.

Shame you didn't find this forum sooner...

Hope you get it sorted in the end.

Why did you choose them? Was it their prices??

In 99% of cases the cheapest price determines what print company somebody will choose, however, in my experience dirt cheap = s**t!

Choose your printer carefully and ALWAYS ask to see samples, I would ALWAYS pay a few pounds extra for quality and definitely ENSURE my chosen print company was UK based.

Recommendations are also VERY important, too late now but if you had asked on here prior to placing your order many would have said STOP!

Take a look here...

I always recommend Stationery Direct as we have used them for a long time and never had any problems, give them a try. I am sure others will be along shortly with recommendations.

Hope it works out for you in the end.

To start off I would definitely recommend trading as a sole trader. LTD companies cost money to set up and you really need to know what you are doing to run one.

When you have a good customer base and earning decent money then look at going LTD, I suspect 90% of Freelancers are sole traders.

Anybody got a standard form for assigning copyright of a logo (or similar) to a client, I have looked everywhere online, don't really have the funds to pay a solicitor.

Any ideas?

Just depends on the brief and the time taken to create each page, if each inner page is exactly the same template with just a change in content then that will be easier and quicker to do than if each page is individual.

Once you know the above, estimate how long for each inner page and how much this will cost with regards to how much you charge per hour then x 66, usually the cover takes longer so price that separate then add it on. You may want to offer 5% discount on the overall price, maybe.
