We are currently seeking a Senior/Principal Power Electronics R&D Engineer to join one of our clients based in Nuremberg. The successful Senior/Principal Power Electronics R&D Engineer will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and refine needs and formulate system requirements in application domains in Power Electronics. You will also support technology roadmap development for next-generation products such as PV Solar, Data Centre power supplies & Battery Energy Storage solutions. Other responsibilities of the Senior/Principal Power Electronics R&D Engineer include executing the development of novel power conversion architectures and converter topologies, leading the parameter design, component layout, prototype build-up, and subsequent verification and validation of converter concepts in the R&D laboratories. The successful candidate will also mentor and coach less experienced staff members. To be considered for the position, the Senior/Principal Power Electronics R&D Engineer should have a Master's or PhD in the field of power electronics or electrical and electronic engineering with extensive exposure to different power supply topologies, magnetic component designs, power semiconductor devices, and power converter control. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, willingness to learn German, and additional languages are a plus. A global medical device company are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to join their Research and Development team on a contract basis. The role is primarily to lead a design team of engineers on the stent part of the project but at times it is also expected that he/she can support other design and development activities on the project as needed.
