Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: RAF Coningsby - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £37,548+ depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Acting as a Sceptre subject matter expert
Deputising for the Team Leader in their absence
Being accountable to the On-Base Sceptre Field Service Team Leader for; investigate, triage and rectify (where possible) issues escalated by Sceptre 1st Line (customer) Support
Providing Technical Queries advice and support
Validating system updates to check that functionality is unaffected
Undertaking any scheduled maintenance of the system
Your skills and experiences:


Experience working with ESS or GSS
Strong IT skills, with knowledge or experience of Windows Server operating systems and an understanding of server architecture and network storage
Recognised IT qualifications or equivalent in subjects such as Microsoft Fundamentals, Microsoft server 2019, Basic Administration of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or PowerShell

Understanding of a military environment / Typhoon fast jet experience advantageous
Experience working with Sceptre

The Sceptre Field Service team:

BAE Systems have developed a modular based Mission Planning System (MPS) which is in development and due to go live in July. This is a new team to support Sceptre, a mission planning tool which is critical to RAF operational activities. This is a dynamic fast paced environment with the potential for overseas travel and travel to various RAF bases, including Lossiemouth and Marham.
