We are seeking a Senior Manager: Financial Control & Analysis to join a dynamic team within the public sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role in financial governance, risk management, and strategic decision-making. You will lead financial control and analysis functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices while driving commercial efficiency.

This role will need to operate through an Umbrella company and all employer, employee tax and NI will be deducted from the rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial control & analysis function, ensuring robust financial governanceOversee risk management, compliance, and financial reporting processesAdvise senior stakeholders on investment regulations and financial strategiesInfluence decision-making at executive levels through financial insightsManage a team, driving performance and managing change effectivelyEnsure adherence to Managing Public Money rules and best practices

Essential Requirements:

• Significant post-qualification experience (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent)Strong understanding of risk management, governance, and public sector financeDemonstrable commercial experience and knowledge of investment regulationsExperience balancing stakeholder needs within financial constraintsExpertise across multiple financial disciplines and business finance optionsAbility to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectivelyProven leadership experience, managing teams through changeOPEX experience preferred rather than banking

Desirable:

• Experience in rail or construction industries at a senior levelPublic sector experience is highly advantageous
