Role & Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough investigations into potential sanctions violations and ensure compliance with all relevant international sanctions laws and regulations.
* Develop and enhance policies and procedures to prevent, detect, and mitigate sanction-related activities across the business.
* Deliver comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting potential areas of risk and recommending solutions to enhance compliance strategies.
* Facilitate training sessions for staff to raise awareness and understanding of sanction policies and compliance requirements.
* Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, sanctions laws, and regulatory changes, advising the firm on compliance matters accordingly.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and operations, to ensure cohesive risk management and regulatory practices.

Key Skills:

* Expertise in financial crime prevention, specifically relating to sanctions compliance within the Insurance, preferably London Market
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and enforce policies effectively.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of educating and influencing both team members and management.
* Proven track record of developing compliance strategies and implementing procedures that reduce the risk of sanctions violations.
