A Manhattan Super User / Warehouse Management System (WMS) Analyst
Role in ensuring the effective operation and optimisation of warehouse management systems,
This role requires a combination of technical, analytical, and operational skills.
Technical Skills:
Manhattan Associates WMS Proficiency:
Understanding of Manhattan Associates WMS functionalities, configurations, and modules.
Experience with implementing, upgrading, and maintaining Manhattan WMS solutions.
SQL and Database Management:
Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with database management, data structures, and data modeling.
System Integration:
Knowledge of integrating Manhattan WMS with other enterprise systems (ERP, TMS, OMS).
Experience with EDI, APIs, and middleware technologies for seamless data exchange.
Programming and Scripting:
Basic to intermediate skills in programming languages such as Java, .NET, or scripting languages like Python.
Ability to develop custom scripts and automation solutions for process improvements.
Analytical Skills:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Strong analytical skills to interpret WMS data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
Proficiency with reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Tableau, or Power BI.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
Experience with troubleshooting system errors and performance issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process optimisation within the warehouse.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Operational Skills:
Warehouse Operations Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping.
Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies like conveyor systems, AS/RS, and robotics.
User Training and Support:
Ability to train end-users on WMS functionalities and best practices.
Providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to warehouse staff.
Project Management:
Experience managing WMS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.
Soft Skills:
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with technical teams, warehouse staff, and management.
Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly language.
Team Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to lead and mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with the latest WMS trends and best practices.
Certifications and Education:
Relevant Certifications:
Manhattan Associates certifications for WMS (if available).
Certifications in SQL, database management, or relevant programming languages.
Experience:
Several years of hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS or similar warehouse management systems.
Proven track record in successfully implementing and optimising WMS solutions in a warehouse environment.
